Warm already at daylight. High of about 90 is predicted with a chance of thundershowers.
Friday was a set up in camp day with waterers, computers, phone hook ups and unloading of miscellaneous supplies. Ed and Lucas worked on the bird pen. Hungarian Partridge were due to be in camp around noon. Bob argued with Hughes Computer about our Internet connection but it looks like it will be mid week before we're operational. I wouldn't put Hughes high on my to buy list – that's for sure!
Roger's team is working hard putting up hay – had to get a 2nd baler to get all the hay he was making baled up. We had trips to town for food, spare parts, equipment and just stuff. No sweet corn yet – just a late season due to all the early rain but it will make for a high quality/quantity crop.
Huns showed up in around noon. Very healthy and filled out for young birds We had made the pen more secure with a solid bottom down a few inches to keep the varmints out and doubled the wiring on the sides. Getting real warm out and we've had the Misters running yesterday and today. Great for the dogs.
We decided it was too late to cook so off to town and a very good meal at the Golden Steer. We had good service and quite happy with the meal. Ed is leaving tomorrow and Bonnie & Dennis are do in late tonight. Dennis planning on making home made pizza.
The got in around midnight and got a good nights sleep.
